Elementor is full of crap. They just get worse and worse. I am dead scared to use Elementor for my sites again. The issues that are in this update, were the same I reported in beta. There are even more issues here than in beta.
The developers ignore good suggestions and keep rolling stuff that makes no sense. This is where I part away with this nonsense. All my sites are broken. Even the previous version of Elementor has serious issues. What the hell!!!
I have to now search for something better. Maybe I should be looking at Britz and would advise anyone reading this to STAY AWAY FROM ELEMENTOR!

What an bullshit. Elementor get’s better and better. 3.0 Update is fine!
I am a hard core developer and the 3.0 update has been great and fine. You just need to be mindful of what Elementor really is, a tool to make somewhat difficult and tedious thing simple. If you use a lot custom CSS and and absolute positioning to get your design “right”, chances are you are better off hand coding, but then you’d probably be complaining some browsers update breaks your design then.
I am not saying that it is perfect, but a good developer knows the limits of the tool and workaround it. If you could specifically let us know what’s broken, perhaps I would have been more empathic.

@0ee2 Thank you for your answer. I’m not a developer, “just” a designer. But I’ve already created some simple but also a little more complex websites with Elementor for customers and I have to say that it worked very well in 95% of the cases.
I know 3.0 is a big update and brings a lot of changes. I think the biggest problem is the many third party plugins that aren’t set to 3.0 yet. As soon as this is the case (hopefully soon) there will be hardly any problems.
I have already converted a few of my websites to 3.0.1 (+ Pro 3.0) and I could not find any major defects, rather little to nothing. And above all nothing that prevents me from creating a “new design system”.
But I can understand if you have problems with Elementor. The best way to describe them is on Github. I think it doesn’t make so much sense to blame Elementor for this alone and to be so negative in your assessment.
Greetings!
Thanks, I’m ALWAYS be careful about updates. Even as a beta tester, I don’t trust an official release. Definitely not Elementor! 😀
The thing with the issues that are closed on Github is often because a comparable or similar problem has already been reported. I think it is tedious to have the same request over and over again, at some point you lose orientation of things.
I think, despite the many criticisms and bugs that exist, Elementor’s Page Builder is on the right track. A lot is planned for 3.X …
May I ask what your alternatives would be? Away from Elementor sounds easy enough to say, but do you have another plan? Rds remote.
BUT: What is definitely still missing are some functions and improvements to the existing widgets. According to Elementor, this is coming very soon and is on their roadmap, but I hope it won’t take that long.
@0ee2 Hi I understand the frustration but it would be more productive if you could be specific on the issues that you have reported and your workaround so that we can better understand the magnitude.
Elementor has its quirks. It has the tendency of creating blank “Default kit” if I preview some template and later cancel out, etc. But it is essentially what it is, a markup generator, and a reasonably good one at it. There are certain limitations that are due to HTML and CSS and I am sure of which you are very well aware.
Can I produce much cleaner code than Elementor? Absolutely.
Can I produce good enough websites quicker than using Elementor? Probably not.
Free pacman world games. Is Elementor good enough for most cases? A resounding 80% of time. Other time, you might opt to roll your own or use other products.Yep. Confirmed bugs with the latest releases. Broke a ton of sites, still broken days later. I hope they make a major change over there.
This was the best page builder plugin to come to WordPress and they went and ruined it along with the reputation of a ton of good developers all over the world.
